A good alternative would be the Upgrade Cash Rewards Visa® Card. This card has a $0 annual fee and offers 1.5% cash back on all purchases. You might also receive a cash back bonus if you get an Upgrade Rewards checking account around the same time as the credit card and then make a few debit card purchases.
Keep in mind that the Upgrade Credit Card requires at least fair credit for high chances of approval. If you don't know where you stand, you can check your credit score for free on WalleHub.
The cash advance limit on the Jasper card is 20% of your credit limit. For example, if you have a credit limit of $3,500, then you will have a cash advance limit of $700. Review Jasper's cash advance APR and transaction fee for cash advances at jaspercard.com/fees
A fair credit score is needed for the Jasper Credit Card. The issuer will also take a look at your income, current employment, and the amount of debt you might have. Based on these, and a number of other factors, it will decide whether or not to approve you.
The starting credit limit for the Jasper Credit Card is $100. But you might be eligible for a credit limit of up to $5,000, based on your credit score, income and amount of debt you carry.

Jasper is discontinuing their cash back credit card. They lowered my credit limit thousand to $200. I owe them approximately $80. Today I look on my credit report and I got dinged for them lowering my credit score due to them Closing everybody’s account and the card will no longer be in existence. I guess I’ll get another ding because the account will be closed. Who do I talk to about this?

I find this credit terrible. I had bad credit (now its great) and this card was one of the cards that were offered to me. I cant schedule payments upfront, every other credit card company lets you schedule them for a specific date. Jasper wont let you do that. I personally think the app is set up to make you fail with credit. They have some stupid option like if you reach a certain amount they automatically deduct something but this just works for a person that has lot of money in the account not for people that may be struggling to get from bad to good. I would try to get capital one card instead because at least you can schedule and make payment whenever.

These guys were recommended by WalletHub. The application process was pretty easy and it went through rather quickly. They have been good so far with a website that is simple and easy to use. However, watch out for their high interest rate!

I applied and was approved. Once I received the card I activated it. Went to buy a bottle of water and it was denied. I called customer support and they told me it was blocked. That I had to email support. Nobody could help me on the phone. Support doesn't answer emails. I am beyond irritated. I was excited for the card now I'm wondering if it was worth it.

One payment on an old account got reversed for 100 dollars I believe (I have a 3500 credit limit).
Jasper blocked my card, didn't let me know what the deal was... I had to message them through the app. Apparently, the risk team is reviewing my account... since it's been blocked.... i've made numerous payments (way more than the min) every single month..... and oh yeah.... did i mention that this was BEFORE MEMORIAL DAY
We are going on close to 10 weeks now and the only answer I get from their support is
"Hope you're having a wonderful Monday--- at this time we don't have an update, we will be sure to let you know asap when we do"
Ive asked 10 times, what a timeline looks like for an update--- not get my account back but just how long this review was going to take (Estimated).... same answer.
I realllllllly Hope this person I am communicating with is a bot and not an actual human being bc if so --- they need to get a new job and out of customer service.
Would give it 5/5 before this 10 week "risk review" that is still ongoing. I really like the card and the app... highest credit limit from all my credit cards.... figured it would be a good foundation for rebuilding my credit....
Sadly.... I'm getting the run around with absolutely zero support.
So get the card if you are 1000% sure that zero issues will come up with it (late payments, returned payments, etc) --- or else... you're going to be limbo and treated with zero customer care.

The offer for Jasper appeared on my credit karma account and it said my odds were good for approval. I was just 1 month out of chapter 7 bankruptcy. After applying my application was under review pending verification of employment. I was approved for $2000. Very easy process. They sent my card to my office. I downloaded the App app and scanned the QR code as instructed and instantly my card was activated. I also love that I instantly receive a text message when a transaction occurs.
Only con is I would love to be able to add an authorized user. Hopefully that option will be released soon.

Great card. Honestly. I just recently started to build my credit. And most cards would only give me a $300 starting limit. Jasper gave me a $1000 right of the rip. And with a higher limit also means getting more points added to your credit score. Apply for this card FIRST before any other card. I promise it will not be a mistake! THANKS JASPER!
