I just got a pre approval offer in the mail for zero annual fee and deposit, up to 2000 limit, and we'll basically no fees at all, plus 1% cashback (whoopty doo I know). The APR sucks, but it's a nice increase to add to my two Capital One cards (Platinum 500 limit/Walmart rewards 300 limit). So kudos to them for giving me a chance after filing bankruptcy last year and with 633 TransUnion, 604 Equifax, 603 Experian. Hopefully it stays a good experience!

Neither the best or worst card. Higher interest then some and really poor customer service managers. However, the quickest credit increase I've had without requesting one and a good credit limit.

This is the worst credit card I have ever had! It started out good, they increased my credit limit and then BAM! I got this card to establish credit and I have always paid a lot more than the minimal payment. The interest rate was supposed be 26.99%, but that was a lie. I stopped using this card in Nov. 2022. I always paid $100-$150/mo to bring the balance down. What a joke. May 2022 it jumped to 27.74% and kept on increasing with every statement. As of my April 8th 2023 statement the interest rate was 31.74%. On paying $100 per month, the interest charges showing up on the next statement were $66.13.This meant only $33.87 went towards paying the balance. They were getting at least $600 a year from me on interest. I now have a new credit card at 0% interest for 18 months on a balance transfer. How about that!

I was scammed , filed a dispute in September 2022. To this date it has not been resolved. I have made at least one phone call a month for the last 8 months, begging them to help me. They all promise to call me with updates within 3-5 business days. No progress. No help. No credit to my account. Horrible customer service and laughable dispute department. Best advice, go with a credit company that has your back in these scam situations. This one doesn’t care.

Great for rebuilding credit!
I try to keep my balance low, always pay on time, and pay more than the minimum. Mercury has rewarded me by substantially increasing my credit limit, which has really helped my credit score.

Absolutely worth it, if you truly intend to restore your credit. I have a *few* cards now, that have much, much lower rates, great perks etc. - but this card gave me a higher limit and has honored their end of the contract I agreed to (including the high APR) when my credit wasn’t at all so great. As long as they continue to increase my limit (which they’ve done), and stay on par, I’ll keep Mercury and use their card, and even leave a small balance at times to pay some interest… because they gave me the benefit of the doubt. And a revolving open account relationship for years on end is also a good thing for your credit with a card. It’s nice to now have cards from airline companies and business cards that I need; and I’ll continue to keep this card because it did what it said it would - help me rebuild my credit, and yes, we’ve had a relationship for several years, that too looks good on my credit. I guess I’m just loyal and don’t mind paying a little interest to a company that helped me get to where I am today. Be a responsible person and they’ll treat you right.

This isn’t a good credit card if you already have great credit, but if you are new to credit and are trying to build it’s wonderful. I started building my credit a few years ago and after COVID went through financial hardship. Mercury was the only creditor that worked with me to keep my payments current and affordable. They lowered my bill to 11 dollars a month and when I could I paid towards the balance. After hardship it’s the only card I have with no late payments and is active.

Mercury always does what they say they are doing to do. The few times I have had to contact them they are very straightforward about what they need to do.
