Terrible Card, Received card in February. Activated it and tried to use it 5 weeks later outside of Nordstrom since it's a VISA branded card. The card was declined and deactivated. Trying to reactivate it was a nightmare. First, the Fraud department is open from 8 am to 5 pm MST. The lady I spoke with initially couldn't help me and transferred me to someone else. That lady was rude. She insinuated that I was not truthful when I said I never received a letter or text regarding the fraud freeze. Next, she needed to verify "some basic information" such as how long I have lived at my address, how long I have had my cell phone number, and who is a related adult in my household. At that point, I wondered about the range of questions that were being asked and when my next period was. So I inquired whether I now need to shop Monday to Friday, from 8 am to 5 pm MST, should I encounter fraud again, especially if I plan on making a large purchase since they froze the account on a $500 purchase. I sarcastically questioned what would happen if I went to Louis Vuitton and spent $3200; would they freeze my account again since I apparently have to make purchases during their specific time window. She indicated that she would note on the account that I may make a large purchase. Even Macy's credit card hasn't micromanaged my spending like this. Thank you! Avoid at all costs, as apparently, they regret extending credit that I was approved for.
