Online: Log in to your Nordstrom Store Card account on the website and click “Pay Now.”
Over the phone: Call (866) 491-7860 and follow the prompts to make a payment, or ask to speak with a Nordstrom guest services representative.
In a Nordstrom store: You can pay your credit card in person at any Nordstrom store, too. Visit the Guest Service Counter, and have your billing statement or Nordstrom Store Card ready, so the attendant can look up your account number.
By mail: If you prefer to pay your Nordstrom Store Card by mail, send a check and your payment coupon to:
Keep in mind that payments via mail take the longest time to post. So, in order to avoid being late, always send your payments at least 5-7 days before your due date.
An application could hurt your credit score by doing a hard pull on your credit report. So if you don't have at least fair credit, I'd suggest to consider applying...
As is the case with most store cards, you will need at least fair credit (640+ score) to qualify for the Nordstrom Store Card.Your income status, debt load and bad items on your credit report will definitely influence your odds of approval, so take all those into account. Good luck!
You can only use the Nordstrom Store Card at Nordstrom locations, on nordstrom.com and through the Nordstrom catalog (plus the “Rack” equivalents).
However, if you qualify for the Nordstrom Rewards Visa, which usually requires good credit (i.e. a credit score of 700+) for approval, you will be able to...
You cannot pre-qualify for the Nordstrom Store Card.
However, as with most store cards, the Nordstrom Store Card is easier to qualify for than a traditional credit card (usable anywhere), and some reviewers have reported being accepted with sub-600 credit scores.
The Nordstrom Store Card does not provide any financing solutions. Only rewards in stores and online at Nordstrom, Nordstrom Rack, HauteLook, and Trunk Club.
You cannot upgrade your Nordstrom Store Card to the Visa version.
These are two separate products that require separate applications. So if you'd like to put your hands on the Nordstrom Visa card, you must apply for it.

The Nordstrom Store Credit Card is available to people with fair/limited credit and does not charge an annual fee. As such, it’s a great way to invest in your credit standing. This card also offers a decent initial bonus and solid ongoing rewards, at least in percentage terms, giving you a $20 rebate on a purchase of at least $100 the day of account opening and then the points equivalent of 2% back on Nordstrom purchases. Plus, you’ll benefit from free alterations, “triple-points days” and other Nordstrom deals. But it’s important to note that most of that package is easily replaceable by another credit card. So you shouldn’t lose any sleep if you choose to let this offer slip by. And if you’re on the fence about whether to apply, you can learn more from our in-depth Nordstrom Credit Card review: https://wallethub.com/edu/nordstrom-credit-card-review/25965/.

To refresh my closet, among other stores, I purchased about $1000 worth of merchandise from Nordstrom. At each purchase, they kept flashing their card at me to apply and get extra benefits. With GOOD credit and over $25,000 worth of credit on a dozen credit cards, I applied online. I was rejected for their Credit Card but approved for their Store Card with only a $350 limit. I thought the whole thing was stupid since I have several $4000 limit Visa and Master Cards. When I went to the website to confirm some info to activate the card, they wanted me to call their 800 number. At their 800 number, they passed me along to higher ups 3 times before some woman in a sleepy voice told me ok your card is activated now. Haven't had a chance to actually test the card yet but it's already clear this TD Bank USA sucks !!! And ALL the bad reviews from customers who have sent in their payments on-time only to find out this TD Bank USA is NOT posting them so they can charge late fees and interest, don't exactly make me trust this operation. I've had better credit service from Target and Walmart than Nordstrom !

I have been with Nordstrom for little over a year. I called 2 months prior to inform them that I was having hardship due to the pandemic. I paid a sum of $600 at the end of September or the beginning of October when I spoke to a representative I was told this could be dispersed over two months. In December I received a call for payment which I thought I took care of within the $600 payment. Now I didn’t complain because I had the cash, so I paid the minimum balance. Now here’s my issue I am in the process of buying a home. Nordstrom reported a derogatory claim which caused my credit to drop 116 points.I have never had an issue paying, and I always know to communicate if so. I communicated to all my creditors and the only issue was Nordstrom. When I called to speak to a representative and I asked her why this issue during a pandemic I was told Nordstrom does not offer any accommodation for the pandemic. At that point I asked to speak to a supervisor whose name was Ashley (LAS). Ashley said she pulled the records and that I basically was lying because all here records show otherwise as if Nordstrom’s don’t make mistakes. Well here is where they made a mistake hiring Ashley. Her customer service skill are terrible. She did not want to do further investigation and said basically Nordstrom does not embrace the CARES ACT. My credit was Ruined because of Nordstrom’s lack of proper communication and the choice not to care about what the American people are going through during this COVID Pandemic. I wish I could cancel this card, but I know it would further ruin my credit. Therefore, I will use it as little as possible. I will never shop with them again it's such a sad case. Nordstrom hire or train people who are more sympathetic at this time. Get rid of the Cowboys!

This is one of the credit cards where they want people to spend at convenience so they can charge users with high-interest rates. In terms of the reward, very ordinally compare to much other credit out there. One plus side that they do give a high limit, meanwhile, it also tempts people to spend more.
1, Unlike other store credit cards, very little help was offered during the pandemic. I have cards with BestBuy and other retailers' stores. They all offer to help such as lower the interest rate, no minimum payment required and/or defer payment, etc. However, Nordstrom cards only offer to delay payment for ONE month. Even though I didn't need the help but it showed that the Nordstorm card was made to get people to spend money when they don't have it. So, that the bank can start charging interest off people, rather than to help you earn rewards. Especially during a pandemic where people's help is in need.
2, additionally, they have very little to no communication on what going on in the account. Make sure when you made the payment online and don't have any problem with your bank. Otherwise, a problem can occur without your knowledge. I submitted a monthly payment but for some reason, it didn't go through. Meanwhile, my online account still shows as "payment posted". So I thought it was grit in the system but didn't realize until they reported to my credit bureaus. Therefore affected my 4 years of no late payment record. I called and asked for help but customer service said "we have to report the truth". Nonetheless, I had the same incident with the Vitoria Secret cards and when I called, they helped fix my account. I don't mind paying the late fee but I hate the stain and score drop on my credit report.
3, Horrible customer service. With regard to the above incident, I was in the store for a return and I don't have my card on me so one of the retailers at the store said they can help me call to get my card number. (I still haven't realized what going on with my account at the time) But when called, they were being really ruled and said my card was lock bc of late payment (in front of people) I told them that I did make payment and asked what going but instead of addressing my problem, she just focused on the aspect that I cant used the card bc of the late payment. Quite disappointing on how they handle customer financial outlook.
Update: I changed the bank info to clear out any balance off on this card. I was extra careful since I have so much problem w this card already. But one more time, they didn't update my banking info and charged a $25 fee for a "returned check". I would give this card a negative start if I could. I feel like this card doesn't not only reflects poorly on Nordstrom itself. It's also reflects very badly on the bank it from, TD bank.

I am really disappointed to have to leave such a poor review. I've been a loyal Nordstrom customer for nearly half my life, and have always appreciated the high level of customer service I've received. I typically never open retail credit cards because my other cards offer such superior benefits, but I finally gave in recently and opened a Nordstrom retail card.
The first month after I opened the card, I paid online using my checking account. I have had this checking account since I was 16 years old and have had the same account number the whole time. So when I received a call from Nordstrom saying I hadn't paid my bill, I was shocked. I had submitted payment for my entire balance. The customer service agent informed me that my payment had been returned because the account number was incorrect. First, I was confused that the payment system showed that I had submitted payment if the number was wrong; I was also frustrated that I had not been notified of that right away, and now they were trying to charge me a return fee. While on the phone, I logged into my Nordstrom account and verified that the account number is indeed correct. I asked to have the return fee reversed, which they did, and asked her to run the payment again. It went through. This exact same thing then happened the next two months. I did not change my account number at any point, yet they kept saying my account "was not found". As someone with a fairly long and robust credit history, I was baffled that it was so difficult to pay them. I have never had a company make it so difficult to pay them. (I have also never had any issues paying my credit card balance from my checking account.)
Already wondering if I had made the right decision in opening this retail card, I gave it another go several months later for Anniversary Sale. My fiance needed a new wardrobe and we both wanted to purchase a few things for wedding activities. The total was significantly more than I had charged to the card previously, and I paid it off in full at the end of the month, just like I had for every other month that I used the card. I tried to use my card again a few days later for an online purchase and I got another error. I called into customer support and was informed that because I submitted such a large payment compared to my first few months, they had placed a TWO WEEK hold on the payment, which has already been deducted (not pending, fully deducted) from my checking account. I would understand 2-3 business days for the transaction to clear, but two weeks is unacceptable, especially since I explained that my payment history actually is very consistent with this, because I always pay my full balance at the end of the month. I simply hadn't purchased very many things the first few months so the balance was relatively low.
I feel there is little to no incentive to shop/spend money/use the retail card. I'm really quite disappointed to have to leave such a poor review, but at this point I am questioning why I even opened this account and will likely go back to using my Capital One or Sapphire Preferred cards moving forward.

I am not shocked!! I like Nordstrom until I got to know it uses TD Bank. I have personal and business account with this bank. Several times I decided that I will close all my accounts because their unprofessionalism. I moved 90% of finance to different bank. I am at the edge of turn down (TD) this bank. Even though it didn't happen to me! a lots people told me that, it turn down their CC and loan application with fair to good credit. I told them their names says it TD (turn down) bank.

I called and spoke to “Richard in California” I told him repeatedly I am locked out of my account online, and just want paper statements mailed to me so I can pay, and make sure they are paid on time.... apparently that’s too hard to understand... he kept repeating himself, not listening to me, and then even said “I mean I can repeat myself again”. Are you kidding me? Damn right I told him you suck at customer service, and hung up...Asshole please change jobs

I applied for this card and got approved, so I made my first purchase and after a week of waiting for my first order I tried to track it to find out that it was canceled..those people sent you a card and tell you that you’re approved then they cancel your order because they want you to mail copies of your SSN and ID AFTER RECEIVING YOUR CARD!!!!! What a logic!!!!! Who would do that? Honestly? It’s okay to not approve people or decline the purchase, but to give them a card then after they use it you tell them that they’re not approved yet and they need to mail more things! I won’t send a copy of my SSN to anyone after giving it online and getting approved. That’s so misleading! I ended up closing my account! They should’ve told you before they approve your account that they will need you to send those copies so you won’t have to close the account and affect your credit score. I have more than 5 cards! Never had this kind of bureaucracy before. You don’t give people false impressions like this and waste their time. My size was sold out when I’ve tried to make another order and pay the full amount! Also messing with people’s credit score is so unacceptable. You do it all in reverse! The card approval should be after I meet your acquirements not before. You don’t give people an account and a cart number then ask for more things. If you needed more verification you should've asked and let people know from the beginning!! It’s not just confusing but It doesn’t make any sense. Thankfully I found my size in a different store. I will make sure not to spend my $$ in this store again. I really didn’t need their card. I was just trying it and I ended up wasting a whole evening trying to understand whether if I have a card with them or not. I didn’t even get an empty sorry although the person who answered me admitted it that their process doesn’t make any sense! He said it should be in the right order in a perfect world! Guess what! Other stores made it perfect. He said those stores are not Nordstrom. True. they’re not. They are better than Nordstrom and have more logical intelligence, ethics, transparency, and communication. Don’t apply if you’re an honest person who wants to live in a perfect world when people don’t take their word back, give false hopes and play with people credit score like it’s not an important thing. Nordstrom card really deserves the bad reputation I’ve heard of it from everybody I asked about before applying. I should’ve listened. DON’T APPLY

I trust few credit card companies, maybe just capital one I trust, but also few store credit companies and Nordstrom rewards card is one of them. I have been screwed over and over charged so many times. This company and their card might as well be a scam. I am very disappointed, upset, and was way too trusting of this company and their card services. I should have listened to verbal bad reviews I was getting. Nordstrom you should get your act together with your card services. You do have dissatisfied customers.
