To contact the Barclays Bank reconsideration line, call 1 (866) 408-4064. Calling the Barclays Bank reconsideration line is a way for credit card applicants to request a second review of their application and potentially get their denial overturned.
If you call to request reconsideration from Barclays Bank, make sure you are prepared to make an argument for why you should be approved. You will typically only have a shot at overturning a denial if you can prove that your financial profile is better than it appeared on your initial application.
For example, if your credit score went up significantly or you got a raise since you applied, you could argue that you are now more creditworthy. Alternatively, if you were denied because of incomplete or incorrect information on the application, you could ask for reconsideration after fixing that error.
Unfortunately, you’re unlikely to be successful in overturning your denial, but there’s no harm in trying.

@martinldg: This exact thing happened to me today. They never mentioned by rejection. put me on hold and had to call me to verify information, and approved me on spot.
I was initially rejected for 24k Gold Mastercard from Barclay with a 801 credit score, 1% credit utilization, 11 accounts, 7k student loan debt, no mortgage or car loan, no hard inquiries (except for Barclay application) and a 140k annual income. I found out I was denied by checking the following the link: https://www.barclaycardus.com/apply/cas/applications/search I was irritated, needless to say as both my wife and I have been aggressive about keeping our balances paid off and not requesting new lines of credit (it had been 4.5 years since our last request). I calmly called their reconsideration line at 1-866-408-4064 and instantly reached a customer service representative. The Barclay representative did not act like the account had been rejected and I made no mention of the website rejection notice. Instead, I was placed on a brief hold after they verified my information and was then asked to answer a call to me that they were going to place to the telephone number I proved them while I held the original line. I answered the call (don't hang up on the other line) and answered a few more security questions. Boom!! Approved for (2) 24k Gold MasterCard's with 20k limit a minute later that will reach my wife and I within 7-10 business days. Long story short, please reach out to a human to get the human factor involved. Computer algorithms that scan your credit report do not capture the whole picture and can reject more than qualified applicants based off of a very "fuzzy" criteria built into their programming which determines suitable candidates.
