Initially, the First PREMIER Bank Mastercard cash advance limit, if your credit limit is $300, will be $30. After 90 days of account opening, the cash advance limit may be increased to $150, provided your account is active, not delinquent and has no return payments for 60 days.
As a general rule, First Premier allows you to withdraw up to 10% of your credit limit during the first 90 days. After this period of time, the issuer allows you to withdraw up to 50% of your card’s credit limit. You can confirm your cash advance limit either by checking your monthly statement or by calling customer service at (800) 987-5521.
First Premier Credit Card Cash Advance: Things to Consider
Whenever you withdraw money with your First PREMIER Bank Mastercard, you will be charged a cash advance fee of 5% (min $8). There is also a cash advance APR that starts accruing as soon as the advance is granted, as there is no grace period for it. The cash advance APR for the First PREMIER Bank Mastercard is 36%.
Credit card cash advances are very costly, ultimately causing you to pay much more money (through fees and interest rates) than you initially withdraw. This is why cash advances with a credit card should only be reserved for emergencies.
