You can transfer Amex points to Delta at a 1:1 ratio by signing in to your account on the Amex website or mobile app. Transfers require at least 1,000 points, and the name on your Amex account must match your Delta SkyMiles account. You can also use Amex points to book Delta flights through American Express Travel®.
How to Transfer Amex Points to Delta
- Log in to your online account and navigate to the Membership Rewards® page.
- Select “Earn and Redeem” from the top menu, then click “Transfer Points.”
- Locate Delta in the list and click “Show Details.”
- Use the slider or enter the number of points to transfer (at least 1,000 points).
- Select your Delta account for the transfer, then click “Review Transfer.”
- If your Delta account isn’t linked, click “Link Account” and enter your account details.
- Review the transfer details and click “Submit Transfer.” You’ll need to verify your identity using one of the verification methods provided by Amex to complete the transfer.

How to Book Delta Flights with Amex Points
Log in to your account and visit the Membership Rewards® page. From the top menu, click “Earn and Redeem” and select “Redeem for Travel.” Choose “Flights” in the booking tool, then enter your travel dates and destinations. Filter for Delta flights, select your preferred flight, and follow the prompts to apply your Amex points toward the airfare.
