A good redemption rate for credit card points is at least 1 cent per point. In some cases, you may even be able to get significantly more than 1 cent per point, which is the average value among credit card rewards programs.
You should also keep in mind how many points you get for every dollar you spend. For example, if your points are worth 0.5 cents each but you get 2 points for every dollar you spend, that’s effectively no different from getting 1 point worth 1 cent for every dollar spent.
