Direct Auto Insurance writes the check to the mechanic shop and not in your name if there is a lien on the vehicle. If there’s no lien on the car then it is not uncommon for the insurance company to make the check out to you. Please call Direct Auto Insurance customer service at 877-463-4732 for more details.
