Country Financial has caused our family extreme stress and financial burden. Our home was burglarized not long before Covid hit and shut the world down. We provided lists of missing contents, photos, police reports, receipts for what we could find; all prior to their deadline for receiving replacement value. Approximate values were then requested, things an adjuster should have been responsible for finding, which we then created & returned - now past the deadline. A check was issued and we were not given replacement value for anything.
Our solid wood door was kicked (axed?) in half. Replacement requires a customization due to the slope of the home - this repair was valued by the adjuster so low that local contractors laughed at our check. I reached back out to Country in desperation, saying that it was no where near enough. They required I get a local contractor to send over a quote (more leg work their adjuster should have done, when I don't live local, and during COVID nonetheless!) A contractor quoted the door and labor $3600, THEY DEPRECIATED THE DOOR TO $500. The check we got for the whole burglary (vandalism, stolen jewelry, generator, garage tools/lawn equipment, heirlooms, antique home furnishings, vintage collectibles) isn't even enough to replace the front door. I am sick to my stomach. My family paid into this company over 20 years and only had 1 other claim on the roof after a hail storm - and that experience was a nightmare as well.
I have never wanted so much for a company to go under. These people have no souls and their only concern is profit. If you value your home and property, I beg you to please choose literally ANY other company.
Last period i sold a vehicle 3 weeks after stupidly renewing policy here. I called my representative and told them that i had sold vehicle and did not need the remaining 5+ months of coverage that was prepaid. "Oh, ok, i will cancel that and credit your account".
Four months later new bill and increases, and sold vehicle still on policy. I go online and delete, and then they credit me the remaining 3 weeks only.
I contact them and they tell me i have to prove to them that i sold the vehicle or no credit. THIS WAS A TITLE TRANSFER, STATE OF OF ILLINOIS, WITH PROOF OF LIABILITY RELEASE STATEMENT DETACHED AND FILLED AND FILED WITH THE ILLINOIS SECRETARY OF STATE AT DATE OF SALE. THIEVES SHOULD BE IN PRISON OR RETRIBUTION COULD REIGN...
John and Kevin are extremely unprofessional. Won't provide explanations on premium increases, commissions, and seem to drop off the radar once the check is cashed. I have been in this business for over 20 years and can honestly say these guys are something else. If anyone here needs a great PROFESSIONAL broker please reach out.

How can I get a COUNTRY Financial good student discount?
You can get a COUNTRY Financial good student discount if you have at least a B average. Student drivers can save as long as they are full time high school or college students. College graduates can also save on their COUNTRY Financial premiums, regardless of their GPA, with COUNTRY Financial's college graduate discount.
Young drivers are usually quite expensive to insure since they lack driving experience. However, COUNTRY Financial offers a good student discount because having good grades shows the insurer that you are responsible off the road, meaning you're more likely to be responsible in the driver's seat as well.
COUNTRY Financial good student discounts vary by state, but it's always worth the effort of checking if they are available in your location.
Does COUNTRY Financial offer gap insurance?
No, COUNTRY Financial does not offer gap insurance, but you can find affordable gap policies from many other major insurance companies. You may be required to carry gap coverage if your vehicle is financed.
Popular Gap Insurance Providers
If you're a current COUNTRY Financial customer and want to maintain your policy, you could purchase gap insurance from a dealership or a stand-alone company. However, dealership gap insurance is often the most expensive option, since it's usually rolled into your loan and charged interest.
