Yes, American Express does offer extended warranty protection on several of its credit cards. Some of Amex's most popular co-branded credit cards also offer this benefit. With American Express extended warranty coverage, the original manufacturer’s warranty will last up to 1 extra year when a covered item is purchased with an eligible American Express credit card. American Express extended warranty coverage applies to warranties of 5 years or less.
The maximum coverage amount per item under the American Express extended warranty policy is $10,000. The maximum coverage amount per year under this policy is $50,000.
