Not only can the Walmart Credit Card be used in other stores, but you’ll also be rewarded for every purchase. Still, the card gives the most rewards when you shop at Walmart. More specifically, cardholders get 5% cash back in Walmart stores using Walmart Pay for the first 12 months, 5% back on Walmart.com purchases, 2% back at Walmart stores and fuel stations, 2% back on restaurant and travel purchases, and 1% back on all other purchases.
Walmart® Store Card: A Card You Can Only Use at Walmart
In addition to the Walmart Credit Card, Capital One also issues the Walmart® Store Card, which is not backed by any major credit card payment network. The Walmart® Store Card can only be used for Walmart purchases, both in-store and online, as well as at Murphy USA gas stations and Sam’s Club. If you apply for the Walmart Credit Card but don’t qualify, Capital One will automatically consider you for this card.
