Some of the best instant approval department store credit cards include the Kohl's Credit Card and the Amazon Store Card. In addition to instant approval for qualified applicants, these cards offer lucrative rewards for making purchases at the retailers they're affiliated with.
Most store cards, including the ones affiliated with department stores, can offer instant approval. When you apply online, there’s always a chance you will be instantly approved (or denied). Many stores also allow customers to apply in-store and receive a decision right away. Sometimes, the retailer will even let the new cardholder use the card immediately to pay for that day’s purchase. The cashier at your favorite retailer should be able to give you more information.
Best Instant Approval Department Store Credit Cards
Most department store cards require fair credit or better (a credit score of 640+) for good odds of approval. In case you don’t know where you stand, you can check your credit score or free, right here on WalletHub.
There are loads more department store credit cards to check out. But while it’s common to receive an instant decision for a store card, it’s not guaranteed. Your application might take longer to process if you’re right on the edge of meeting the card’s requirements, or if you make a mistake and accidentally give incorrect information on the application.

For immediate shopping needs, the Kohl's Charge Card remains one of the most accessible instant approval department store cards. Approval decisions are frequently rendered at checkout, with cardholders gaining immediate access to discounts. The card provides 35% off first purchases and regular coupon mailers. However, note that this is a closed-loop card only usable at Kohl's properties.

I agree with the suggestions here. One other thing to throw out there: you can get instant approval from pretty much any credit card, not just store cards - in case you want to widen your net.

Agree with Amazon…it’s great if you have Prime!

I’ve got no complaints about the Target Circle Card, formerly RedCard. I got approved right away and I’m saving a boatload with the 5% off.

It used to be Walmart, but you can’t get their cards anymore. Kohl's and Amazon are solid choices though - they usually give you a decision right away. Just keep in mind the limits might be low if your credit's not great.

The Kohl's Card and Amazon Store Card are your best bets. They'll usually give you a decision right away and a virtual card number to use immediately.
