The
Murray State University Credit Card is a pretty good bonus rewards credit card for Murray State University alumni, faculty, supporters and students with above-average credit. Although this card is affiliated with a school, it is not a
“student” credit card, and applicants need at least “good” credit to qualify. We estimate that you’ll need a score of 700 or higher to have good odds of being approved.
The best things about the Murray State Credit Card are its $0 annual fee and its rewards-earning rate (
1 - 3 points per $1 spent). The amount you earn depends on what you buy, but you’ll earn bonus rewards on purchases from rideshare companies, streaming services, cable providers, gas stations and restaurants. Those points are also redeemable for cash back at a rate of 1 cent per 1 point.
The worst things about the Murray State University Credit Card are its unattractive APR and lack of an initial rewards bonus. As a result of those drawbacks, you’d better plan to pay your bill in full every month, and you may want to consider using another card or two in addition to this one, if you decide to apply.
To help you decide whether or not to apply for the Murray State Card, we’ll highlight some of its most important features below.
