2026 PNC Personal Loan Review
PNC personal loans have low APRs, ranging from 8.14% - 24.99%, based on applicants’ creditworthiness. While you might be able to find a lower minimum rate from other lenders, PNC’s maximum is one of the lowest around. That means even people who just barely qualify for a loan will still get a good rate. Plus, PNC further minimizes costs because the origination fee is None. PNC offers $1,000 - $35,000 in funding, with 6 - 60 months to pay the loan off.
There are a few drawbacks to PNC personal loans, such as the fact that rates vary heavily by ZIP code. PNC isn’t as transparent as they could be about approval requirements, either. However, the benefits definitely outweigh the shortcomings.
PNC Personal Loan Review Highlights:
PNC personal loan rates: 8.14% - 24.99%
Funding timeline: 5 - 7 business days after approval
PNC personal loan requirements: 18+ years old; SSN
Loan amounts: $1,000 - $35,000
Payoff periods: 6 - 60 months
Origination fee: None
Late fee: Varies
Customer satisfaction: PNC holds an A+ rating from the Better Business Bureau and an average user rating of 3.6/5 on WalletHub.

PNC uses foreign call centers from Pakistan, Bangladesh, India, and the Philippines for their phone contacts. VERY difficult to understand or trust, especially if they call about fraud issues. Twice I had to deal with businesses using PNC Bank and both times the outcomes were negative. Businesses AVOID this bank if at all possible.

I have a 798 on Experian which is what PNC checks, over 400K income and PNC gave me aeasoy $3K in credit. I have American Express with $22K and Wells Fargo $25K. I had to drive to the bank because they don't accept online applications for non-members. You actually have to apply at the bank. I was embarrassed to get a $3,000 credit line.
My checking account debit card was hacked by someone who used my money for an online casino. I reported it to the PNC fraud department and they conducted an investigation that resulted in a loss of $600.00 of my money.
I guess since they couldn't find the person or persons who took my money, they stated that their results determined no fraud occurred. I don't gamble at brick-and-mortar casinos or online. I provided two text messages that I received from a number that claimed to be PNC's fraud division, and they still said it wasn't fraud.

I have had a credit card with PNC for about 20 years. Last June 2025, I noticed they took 10 days to process my payment. The months following were all delayed, too. Finally, my September payment was never posted at all. I suspect they might be short-staffed in their mail/accounting area. They immediately charged me with late fees and interest, even though when I discovered this delay, about 2 days after the due date, I made a payment over the phone. I was told by a representative that they would remove the fees. But they did not. After months of calls and complaints, Kathryn, a representative, called me. I explained everything to her. In the end, she said, "All fees and interests would stand." Her words were, "Sorry you are not happy with the results." She took no accountability. She seemed to take pleasure in her authority. Do not use PNC. I saw in other reviews that this is a common practice: delaying payments and then charging the customer.

PNC Bank charges higher fees than other local banks. Their customer service is terrible! I tried to report that the only PNC ATM in Strasburg, PA has not been working correctly—it's unable to deposit checks. I made four trips to the ATM in four days, and no one has been sent out to address this malfunction. I've tried to call three branches and the corporate office to report the issue. No one picked up the phone in over an hour of waiting! This bank is terrible. Try Univest Bank instead! They have lower fees, and deposited checks are usually available immediately. The staff at Univest are friendly!

I recently had the pleasure of working with Nick Lakhani at PNC Bank, and I couldn't be more impressed. As someone new to credit cards, I was overwhelmed by the process. Nick patiently walked me through each step, explaining the benefits and responsibilities clearly. His knowledge and helpful demeanor made the entire experience stress-free. I'm truly thankful for his guidance!

After over 20 years of banking with PNC, including business, personal, CD, and IRA accounts, I am no longer a customer. Today's PNC Bank puts their otherwise good employees in the awkward position of selling and administering products for which they have not been adequately trained, nor given sufficient authority to manage. When something goes wrong in administering the product (CD, 1099, IRA, etc.), the resolution is thwarted by some obscure upper management policy. This leads to much unnecessary expense, multiple trips to branch offices, and long waits on the phone. In addition, their commitment to working to prevent fraud seems to be mostly just a marketing ploy. A PNC Bank branch employee literally told me to ignore a blatant fraud attempt because they happen all the time and PNC does not have the personnel to respond.

Stay away from this bank! They will not provide even the most basic customer service without charging exorbitant fees. Their only goal is to take your money and give it to the 1%. I plan to close my account as soon as possible.
