Discover does not disclose how long after bankruptcy one can get approved for a Discover card. Discover will not approve you for a credit card if you have a pending bankruptcy case, as it states on its terms and conditions: "You represent that there are no current lawsuits or bankruptcy proceedings that might affect our interest in the Security Deposit Account or the Funds."
In general, the longer it’s been since your bankruptcy was discharged or dismissed, the better your chances of getting approved for any credit card will usually be. That’s true regardless of whether you filed under Chapter 7 or Chapter 13 of the U.S. bankruptcy code.
