After thinking I had paid the entire balance based on the total amount sent in the invoice, no more paper bills arrived by mail. Two months later, with two late payment charges as well as interest charged on the previous interest that I was unaware of, my credit score plummeted. I looked into it and found that it was due to this GAP Citibank Card. I demanded that customer service and a manager rectify this since it was not a problem on my part. They were unable to do anything on their end and were unable to drop a late payment charge, although I'm certain they have the capability. Chase is much better as, based on experience, they are capable of handling all those issues. The whole idea of paying the full balance was to increase my credit score; unfortunately, with this company, they made it worse. Never again. I don't even want to shop at GAP or Banana Republic unless they switch their sponsor to Chase, nor do I want to attend any shows or sporting events at the Barclays.

If I could give this zero stars, I would. It seems every time I went to pay they magically lost all my sign in information online. So, whenever I had a balance and wanted to pay it off, it would be no less than an hour to log on. Now I'm in dispute because I found out that a balance that was paid thirteen months ago, Gap forgot to mark it as paid. I seriously think there's something shady going on with this company.

The customer service on this card is incredibly shitty. I've called so many times trying to talk to an actual person. The automated system is horrible. It takes a week to get statements older than three months. I plan on paying this off as quickly as possible and closing my account.

I had the Gap credit card in the past, and I was overall pretty pleased with it. It requires decent credit to open, but you do get 15% off your shopping purchase. If you like to shop at Banana Republic, Piperlime, Athleta and Old Navy, you also earn points per dollar you spend there too. There are $10 rewards gift cards for every 1,000 points you earn. There are special savings for your birthday as well. The interest rate is fairly high so I would recommend using this card with caution and paying it off in full monthly.

As a loyal Gap shopper, I got the Gap Credit Card because the 5 points per dollar spent at Gap and her sister stores was very attractive. During promotions, Gap cardholders often enjoy bigger discounts compared to non-cardholders. I spent over $1,000 in my first year as a cardholder which got me upgraded to Silver status. Holding Silver status, not only do I enjoy free shipping at gap.com that is not subject to a minimum purchase, I also get free shipping from all Gap brick and mortar stores nationwide. The aforementioned benefit makes hunting for a particular item stress free.

I have had a GAP card for many years. The best thing about this card is the rewards. If you know you're going to be purchasing an item with this card and can be responsible with paying it off every month, it is a no brainer. The rewards are easy to accumulate and can help with future purchases. There are also special deals for card holders on certain days. Right now it is 10% off on Tuesdays.

This card has been pretty useful overall. I applied for it a few years ago when I needed to do some back to school shopping for college. I was happy when they gave me a $1000 line of credit with very little hassle, and a low interest rate as well. I have been using the card for purchases at GAP and affiliated stores ever since with no trouble. I pay off the balance every single month, which is probably why I've had no problems. I have heard of some people who get their interest rates jacked up because they've missed a payment, but I kind of think that's to be expected. Another cool thing about the GAP card is the discounts that you can earn when you spend a certain amount of money. I get coupons in the mail all the time, and they can add up to pretty significant savings. I recommend this card to anyone who intends to pay the balance off in full every month and wants to get free rewards.

I got this card because, living in a smaller town for college, Gap was one of the only stoppable stores in town and the 15% discount was pretty appealing. I fully expected to be denied but they offered me an $800 line of credit right off the bat which seemed to be incredibly irresponsible and unnecessary for a moderately priced store. This card comes with a few perks if used responsibly, for example monetary rewards after certain spending amounts which can be used at any stores within the Gap conglomerate. Unfortunately, I didn't use it responsibly and reaped the punishment. The interest rate is astoundingly high and after missing a couple months of payment (each carrying a $35 fine) I was in the hole pretty deep. They sent me to collections almost immediately it seemed, with no effort to contact me aside from the usual paper bill. I only see this card as being worth it for people who shop won't exclusively at Gap and its sister stores and who have the rigor to pay off such a fickle card regularly and responsibly. Don't leave a balance on the card!

I've used the Gap card for so many years I've lost count. If you're someone who carries a balance, the interest rate is simply awful. If, however, you pay off your balance on a monthly basis, you'll be accumulating bonus points that you can use to buy clothes at any of the stores under their umbrella. I definitely have taken advantage of their card member only offers too many times, thus raising my membership to the Silver level, which gives you even more benefits than their regular card. All in all, it's not a bad card, if you use it properly. If you don't you can get into trouble with that high interest rate. I've been there, and don't recommend it!

I've had my Gap card for a few years now and it's the only credit card that I own. I primarily shop at Gap brands, especially Athleta. I love that the more I shop the more rewards I can earn which are SUPER easy to use, either in store or online. I can also use the card outside of the store and earn rewards. Fill up my car and buy groceries, then get free Kate Spade earrings at Piperlime? Yes please!!! The APR is really high but I simply pay off my card every month so thankfully I don't have to worry about the interest rates. Oh one more thing, they usually have cardholder appreciation days where you can pre-shop the sales plus get substantial percentages off of your purchase.
