One of the best furniture credit cards for bad credit is the Bank of America® Customized Cash Rewards Secured Credit Card. It offers up to 3% - 6% cash back on “Home Improvement & Furnishings,” if you pick that as your custom bonus category, and there's no annual fee. The bonus cash back rates apply to the first $2,500 that you spend each quarter in your custom bonus category and at grocery stores and wholesale clubs.
Cardholders will need to put down a deposit of $200+, which will act as the card’s credit limit. On that note, the downside of a furniture credit card for bad credit is that you’ll likely be saddled with a high interest rate, a low credit limit, and a security deposit.

You should always familiarize yourself with a furniture credit card’s terms and conditions before you apply. You should be wary of a card’s 0% interest financing, too.
Nearly all stores with 0% financing use something called deferred interest. Under the plan, you’ll get interest-free payments on your purchases for a specified number of months. However, if you don’t pay off the entire balance by the end of the promotional period, your account is no longer interest free. All the interest accumulated since the original purchase date will be piled on top of your unpaid balance.

The answer really depends on whether you want financing help or rewards. If you want rewards, a general secured credit card is your best bet. If you need financing help, a furniture store offer could work out, but you need to be careful. It’s best to get preapproved first too.

Store credit cards usually require fair credit at a minimum. Your best bet is a secured credit card with good rewards. Look into Bank of America/Discover/US Bank/Capital One.
