One of the best store credit cards for fair credit is the Target Credit Card because it gives cardholders 5% back on Target purchases and allows 30 extra days for returns. It also offers free 2-day shipping on Target.com purchases, has a $0 annual fee, and is available to people with fair credit.
Most store credit cards actually require fair credit at a minimum, which means a credit score of 640+ should give you good odds of getting approved for your favorite store’s card.

It’s worth noting that you can only use store credit cards at the merchants they’re affiliated with. On the other hand, co-branded credit cards, which are on a major card network and can be used pretty much anywhere, require at least good credit (a score of 700+). One example is the OnePay Walmart Credit Card.

Make a list of your favorite stores. If one of them has a credit card with no annual fee and 5% back on purchases or 20% back on your first purchase, go for it. Store cards all accept fair credit.

If you shop at Target regularly, definitely get the Target Credit Card. You get 5% off every purchase, free 2-day shipping, and an extra 30 days for returns. Plus, it’s easier to qualify for than a general rewards card. Just remember, it only works at Target, so don’t expect to use it anywhere else.

Target, Amazon and Kohl’s have great store cards for fair credit. Almost all store cards are for fair credit though so just pick your favorite store!
