I spent an afternoon getting redirected from a representative who barely speaks English to another. At the same time, I could hear other representatives talking loudly in the background of the phone call, repeating themselves and verifying themselves gazillion times, trying to get a supervisor, escalate, or investigate. All I got was false information, and another representative wants me to start from the beginning, telling me that they will redirect me to a supervisor. Still, they only redirected me to another representative, who asked me to verify myself. I was told multiple times that my monthly auto payment didn’t go through because the bank account linked to it is frozen. Imagine telling somebody that their bank account is frozen when it’s actually not! I spent another hour on the phone with the checking account representative, who also happens to be a Citibank representative, and they told me my account is fine and that no one in Best Buy credit card customer service can check my account status, let alone know that it’s frozen. They checked, and there was no attempt by the credit card department to verify the status of my account before telling me it’s frozen. There is no reason that the Citibank checking account department would lie to me about such information. My checking account is perfectly fine. I’ve used it multiple times after I was informed by your representatives that it’s frozen I’ve done everything right I set an auto payment to avoid all the hassle as I’m a person with autism and can’t remember payment dates thus auto payment is a major disability accommodation to me and to live with the fact that it can disconnect without investigation and without telling me the reason removes the illusion of safety that I had that I don’t have to remember the payment and pay it myself every month. If auto payment can be disconnected so easily without a reason, because again my bank account is fine, then it’s a useless feature because it’s unreliable, which defeats the whole purpose of having it, which is peace of mind.
As a result of the false information I got from your representatives, I was under the impression that my bank account was frozen for a whole afternoon, which is a horrible thing to deal with, but that turned out to be wrong Now I can easily reconnect the same bank account and pay the monthly payment, but I won’t before an investigation and an escalation of what happened, so it doesn’t happen again, so I can go back and count on the auto payment feature again. Also, since I’ve done everything right, I shouldn’t pay any
This’s a principal issue only here because messing with a disability accommodation that makes my life easier is a no-no let alone terrorizing me and telling me that my bank account is frozen when they have no ability to confirm that. Very lazy and irresponsible. I understand that those different department, but it’s the same bank and the investigation should be done easily to accommodate disabled people better in the future
Can't expedite replacement card, virtual card not working. Going to be late on property taxes as I put nearly all of my cash on my credit card and can't get access to it...Citi Bank support really sucks!!!

They stole my 60000 points by saying I needed to wait 4 years before applying for another one. I spent almost $9000 in less than 3 months. I was not told this when I got my second card. I was scammed by citi.
I am thoroughly disappointed with my Citi card. I opened an account for a large home project, began making purchases of the project and then Citi declined my purchase, locked my card stating unusual activity. I did not receive a text or alert asking are you making this purchase... NOTHING!!! Immediately locked my card down so then I spent 45 minutes on the phone with a representative trying to verify my identity through some digital system that does not work. Apparently, my cell carrier hadn't made an update in a while to whatever digital system they have and so I cannot receive the text to verify my identity. THIS IS NOT MY PROBLEM!!!! If your digital system does not work for all carriers for whatever reason, you need an alternative system! The customer should not be inconvenienced by your technical problems..., I am literally in the middle of a contract purchase for my home project that has literally 25% done!!! Then I am told I will have to wait to receive a letter in the mail 7-10 business days with a code and call back and wait on hold to give them the code to unlock my card that NEVER should have been locked to begin with. AMEX would NEVERRRRRRRR!!! There is no branch office that I can visit and when I said I want to file a complaint I was told oh we'll note your account and that was it. No corporate office number, no email, no reference # provided. There is no way for me to follow up on my complaint or express my EXTREME annoyance with their silly system that does not work!!! I have wasted 2 hours of my time for something that could have simply been resolved with a text or a call to verify that I was completing the purchase OR better yet you can see a million trips to Lowes and Home Depot so when another home improvement purchase came through it should have been clear!! It wasn't like I hadn't been making the same kind of purchases! I will NEVERRRRRRRRRRRRR open another Citi card again and if you are used to receiving A+ service with Amex and Discover you will be extremely disappointed with Citi. This whole experience is TRASH! I can't even login to the app- I get this message, "Hmmmm looks like some technical issues right now. Please try again later"! If I could provide negative stars I definitely would!!

I just had the worse time with Citibank They have no local branches here. I had to call for an unauthorized charge. After 7 attempts between calls and chat I finally got someone. Very rude and condescending .After 10 min of explain and having to yell because he was rude. He cancelled my card,. This is typical except he left me with no way to get money now.

If i could rate Drive Card issued and serviced by Citibank, N.A. a zero I would. I experienced a terrible dispute resolution. Instead of resolving the issue, under the fair credit billing act related to defective workmanship and negligence. The representatives at the bank gave me the runaround and repeatedly failed to provide the personal credit I am entitled to. The unwillingness to properly investigate is incredibly disappointing and offensive. I strongly encourage anyone to thick twice about doing business with Citibank credit card services.

I have had this card for several years. Prior to being city discard was great to have anytime I use my card. I pay it off in full the next month today they close my card for no reason other than a bank decision which will negatively impact my credit. The account has never been passed due. It is an excellent standing, but with a zero balance for no reason they closed. Do yourself a favor and don’t get this card.
Very disappointed with CitiBank after the transition from Barclays. I’ve been unable to create my online account, since I lost my card a representative told me that I needed to wait for my new card to be able to create an account. It’s takes 4–6 weeks for the replacement card to arrive. This has made it impossible to access or manage my account during the transition. Due to that situation I missed a payment that will be reported to my credit report plus a late feed. Yes, they will send a letter explaining why, but the why don’t matter to me. The process has been frustrating, Customers should not lose access to their accounts for over a month because of delays in mailing a card. There most be other way, like using SS #. Much better communication and faster service are needed.

It took us several phone calls contacting two different entities to discover that the card had been canceled due to non-use. The whole process took about two hours. Disorganized and inefficient organization.
This bank is garbage! They will cut your limits for no reason dropping your credit score!

I've been a card holder for years...We wanted to alert Citi that we were traveling outside the country so that they wouldnt flag the card as fraudulent. Hours and hours on the phone to no avail and with no resolution. Just the same old company line over and over and over.. then we tried the chat feature on their website. Nothing. Remember, all I wanted to do was to set a travel alert, that's it. Finally, I grew so frustrated that I simply cancelled all of our three cards and will never do business with Citibank again. Such a simple request, so much wasted time. Now, I'm satisfied to do business with my other cards, but I'll never do business with Citi again.

My American airlines credit card was changed from Barclays to Citibank. I have had nothing but trouble since day one of the change. First, I could not get any transactions to go thru using my card. Then when I contact Citi, they said it would take 6-8 weeks to get the new Citi American airlines card. Then I find out that my final bill from Barclays, which was on Auto pay, would not be processed. Causing late fees. When I set up autopay with Citi I chose to pay the statements in full and instead, they processed the minimum payment. Weeks after the change over, I still can't use my credit card!! This has been the worst experience with a credit card that I have had in 40 years. Cancelling the card, no amount of miles is worth the headache I get from this company. Would like to give me no stars, their service is so bad.
