Citi has terrible customer service. Almost impossible to reach a human. The two I did speak with gave me incorrect information. Would not recommend. After years with Chase and American Express cards I expect better from a credit card
They don't have any employees' that can help you in America. Cancelling this card.

I have been a responsible citi bank credit card holder since 1991. This huge company has refused to give me any leeway on my interest rate yet I have and will continue to pay down my balance faithfully!! I am old and retired and this huge company still won’t work with me! I recommend that people never get trapped with this! Citi Bank is not fair to faithful customers like me! I wish I could give them a negative 10 rating on Google. signed TCL

Please do not use this card, I have had my Citi Best Buy Card for 10 years or more. I have used it on an off through the years. I just started using it again, and it was not a problem until I changed my telephone number. Now I cannot verify who I am all of a sudden. I have received 3 letters with codes and now they want to send me another one. I would rather close the account. Citi cards are forthe birds!!!
Worst credit card company. Even with excellent credit it was like pulling teeth to get credit limit raised. They then refused to issue other cards. Phone representatives were useless and since closing my card with them they act like it's personal and will not open cards. I paid everything ahead of time with excellent credit and they treated me like trash

90 minutes on hold on number on back of card trying to find out why a charge didn’t go through. This is terrible customer service service. Tried another number from website and that’s been on hold 25 minutes. Shouldn’t they be able to afford customer service reps?
I opened a Citibank Checking account about a month ago because I have been doing some GIG work to supplement my fun time. I reccently lost my wallet and al l my vards except the Citibank card because I normally don't carry it arround. So i had to Zelle funds from my main account to the citi account. This is where is gets crazy and literaaly makes no sense 1. First there is not a citi branch within 50 miles of of my address (home or work), my bad I should have reseaarched more than I did 2. I was in the post office to make a purchase and it was declined. I called the bank because I have literaaly sent all my bill money to this account so that my bills won't be late while I wait for my card to my main account. I was told a bunch of nonsense basically then she finally said to Zelle the money or go to ATM, DAH the ATM limit is $500. Anyway at this point I am frustrated and just say have a good day. 3. So ok I will Zelle the money to my kid so that she can get what I need from the post office, but yet again daily limit, 4. Okay what have I gooten myself into. 5. Just got off the phone with them because now there is a fraud review, so I am on the phone done verified everything down to the color of my nails and was told I had to wait 72 before I can have access to MY MONEY. SO I say to him what if I was getting put out of my home unless I paid immediately, you think they would care when I say to them I have to wait 72 hours to access MY MONEY. That answer would be a resounding NO! So basically, to is Wednesday, even if my main card comes in the mail tomorrow there is nothing I can do because my account is FROZEN.Never have I heard that a person has to wait 72 hours to access their own funds. I apprecite the draud protection, bu normally after you can verify ever transaction on the account since opening it, WHY! As soon as I can get to the branch hat is 49.6 miles from my home address I am closing this account.

Horrible security against fraudulent charges and customer service is no help whatsoever. Citibank billed me for late payments on multiple fraudulent charges which ultimately resulted in my credit rating dropping almost 100 points. Do not trust Citibank!!!!

Worst customer service I have ever dealt with on anything. If you want to be able to talk to someone about your account DO NOT get a Citi Card.

I had a very frustrating experience with Citibank overall.
After depositing legitimate proceeds from a real estate transaction, my account was suddenly restricted. I provided all requested documentation and fully cooperated, but the process that followed was extremely slow and unclear.
I was informed that my funds would be returned within a specific timeframe, but that timeline passed without any resolution. I contacted Citibank multiple times and received inconsistent information, with no clear explanation or confirmed date for when my funds would be released.
Throughout this process, communication was poor and required constant follow-up on my end. Despite the funds being confirmed and not in dispute, I was left without access to them for an extended period.
This situation caused significant inconvenience and stress, and it should not take this long to resolve something so straightforward. I hope Citibank improves how they handle account restrictions, customer communication, and timely access to funds.

I have been with Citibank for two years now. I previously used WaFd (a total joke), Wells Fargo (the absolute worst), US Bank, Chase, and a local credit union, but Citibank gives the most grace when it comes to any hiccups with charges hitting your account. They even refunded $1200 earlier this year when a company in the Ukraine launched an attack on a lot of US accounts, when most other banks were refusing to reimburse these charges. I moved out of state to Salt Lake City, and there is no way to make cash deposits since they don't have brick & mortar branches here, but I still prefer them over all the others and plan to stay with them for life.

New card for the balance transfer and 0% interest option… The worst customer service I have ever received from a credit card company. Everyone has been (basically) polite…it has nothing to do with that. It has to do with lack of information and lack of clarity after verification process. They will not text my phone number for verification (I finally learned today because it is a cell phone … in this day and age??! ) so I have to have a second phone in order to answer… I don’t even have a landline here! They do not answer your questions in one department, so they are short rushed and send you back-and-forth between departments. It is the craziest thing and my card remain locked for days, even though I had been told it was cleared… This is craziness! I’m the balance transfer has taken almost 2 weeks to clear for some other type of validation, which I also do not understand. going to pay it off when the balance transfer comes through and I’m going to close the card. Waste of my time and energy!
